Face to face meetings of the Book Club are on hiatus until we find a better way for members to attend.  Anyone who is interested in trying to lead a virtual book club meeting on-line, please contact Kirsten Cooper, our Special Programs Director.

Meanwhile, you can join a virtual bookclub that is focused on Talent Management and Development.  https://www.pbc.guru/td/

This VIRTUAL book club connects through a private online forum where all participants can discuss the current book and network with each other.  The online forum is active 24/7 so people can join the conversation from anywhere and at whatever time is convenient for them.  Joining is FREE, you just have to get a copy of the book to enjoy.

    BREAKING NEWS!!

Mobile APP for IOS is now available for GOOD NETWORK!

Wild Apricot - our GOOD NETWORK website host - has created an IOS Member App that allows access to several functions that normally require you to use our website on a browser.  Our website has just been migrated to a responsive theme which allows for easier browser viewing on mobile devices.

This site upgrade makes it possible to use the just released MOBILE APP!

What members can do with the app:

    • View the member directory
    • View a member's profile
    • Email fellow members
    • View an event calendar and event details
    • Register for an event
    • View your existing event registrations
    • Pay an outstanding event registration fee
    • View their member profile
    What members cannot do:
    • Delete existing event registrations -- you will still need to do this via a browser while logged into the website
    • Update your member profiles -- also needs the browser.

Non-members will not have access to the App and will have to use the website browser to register for events as guests.

Currently, there is only an IOS version on the App -- but stay tuned for future developments from Wild Apricot.

    HOW TO GET IT:

Go to the App Store on your on your IOS smartphone.

SEARCH  for Wild Apricot for Members to find it and  "GET".  The screenshot at the left shows what you are looking for.

Login to the app with your Goodnetwork.us email and password.

We are excited about responsive look and feel of the new website (and it is still being updated/tweaked).  Now the Mobile App gives us additional mobile access.

    Dear GOOD network,

What a honor it was to learn with you last Friday. I am blown away by the talent that was present in this room and was excited to play a small role in bringing the value that you have to offer your clients into greater awareness. I cannot wait to hear what is going to happen as you take greater OWNERSHIP of the value that your talents and OD expertise creates.

I also wanted to let you know that I am here for you and remind you of the offer I made to you in our session. I have available to just the GOOD network an eLearning program called Consulting Branding & Marketing. This eProgram provides an overview of marketing for consultants that includes what we discussed on Friday AND direction on how to attract clients. This eLearning program contains over 18+ videos and a downloadable workbook filled with exercises. Just drop me an email at betsy@betsyjordyn.com and I’ll get you access.

Thank you again for for the opportunity to learn with you.

    Warm regards,

    Betsy

While we take time to reflect on the tragedy that has struck our hometown, Orlando, it is more important than ever to ensure we are prepared for such an emergency. As we pray for the families and friends of those heavily affected by this selfish act, we wish there will never be another instance like this again. Unfortunately, we know this is not the truth. To be as prepared as possible, everyone needs to keep their Emergency Contacts as current as possible on their smart phones. This is extremely easy to do, and provides First Responders critical contact information, as well as your personal identification.

In case of emergencies (auto accidents, fainting, etc.), you can set up a Medical ID on your smart phone. To add personal information (blood type, birthdate, etc.) as well as individuals to contact during an emergency, follow these steps:

    • iPhones:

     A. Open the Health App (it is a white icon with a pink heart that is visible on iOS 8 and newer)

    B. Tap Medical ID (bottom right icon)

    C. Edit information

    D. Turn on “Show When Locked” to make your Medical ID available from the Lock screen

    E. Add important information for emergency contacts that will also be available when your phone is locked

    • Androids: (may be slightly different steps depending on your carrier)

    A. Open the Contacts app

    B. Select Groups

    C. Tap ICE – Emergency Contacts

    D. Edit information

    E. Select and add your emergency contacts.

    F. Tap Save

    G. Return to the phones Lock Screen and tap Emergency Call

    H. Tap an Add button to create a shortcut to your emergency numbers. You may add up to three.

This information could save your life and eliminates the confusion when trying to identify next of kin. We sincerely hope these instructions assist you; please share / forward this e-mail with others.

Thanks to Dr. Isabel Perry, our GOOD member for sharing this reminder.
