External Consulting Interest Group

This group's purpose is to provide a collegial environment with opportunities to network, share best practices, and increase our knowledge of the business and marketing aspects of consulting.

Our upcoming meeting on March 29, 2013, will begin with a focus on the excellent presentation on Change Management -- the most requested topic from our recent membership survey--offered at the February GOOD Network meeting.   Rick Maurer, author of Beyond the Wall of Resistance, found that leaders who can answer two fundamental questions tend to do far better getting real results from major changes.

  • Why do people support change?
  • And why do they resist it?

Harold Hill, a friend and former colleague of Mr. Maurer, and Yolanda Elliott have graciously agreed to offer a presentation that highlights this strategy and approach.

Additionally, we will continue discussion of trends and the knowledge needed to advise clients to best position themselves for success. An impact/effort matrix will be utilized to help zero in on the most critical and easy to acquire relevant skills.

Please come prepared to offer your thoughts on three trends of importance to business in Central Florida and how we can be prepared to best support our clients with improved performance.

Come help us enjoy a stimulating, valuable discussion and meeting with a dynamic group of GOOD Network members who share an interest in consulting.

Lunch is not provided. Please feel free to bring your lunch with you.

Questions may be directed to Beth Cox.

Reservations are required for effective meeting planning.
