Session Overview

Our 19th Annual Best Practices session will feature four Member Presenters who will share their favorite tips, techniques,  strategies, and success stories.  Don't miss one of our favorite programs each year!

Program Highlights:

We are delighted to have four member presenters for this session.  Join us for an interesting mix of topics including recent research results, an assessment based workplace solution, a change management case study, and some out of the box professional skills development.

"More Mindfulness, Less Turnover?"  presented by Dr. Vicki Lavendol, Senior Instructor at UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management

The introduction of stress reducing behaviors during the workday in a hospitality company was the core contribution of a study prompting research on ways to promote mindfulness at work to reduce job stress and turnover intention in any work setting.

"Is Your HI Ready for AI?"  presented by Edwin Mourino, PhD, Human Intelligent (HI) Workplace

Is your organization ready for the change and would you consider your organization a human intelligent workplace? In this session, you’ll learn what a human intelligent workplace is and have an opportunity to complete a questionnaire to assess if your organization is a HI workplace and learn what to consider in change readiness.

"Mastering Change through Inclusion: One Company's Turnaround" presented by Marissa Caravelis, People and Culture Transformation Solutions

Learn how an organization which was not hitting the mark when it came to rolling out company-wide change initiatives achieved a turnaround in their mastery of change.

"Improv your Impact" presented by Keith Smith, Keith Smith Consulting

Learn how improv skills can help  increase your impact in the workplace by discovering the skills to improve your ability to read an audience, increase creativity, and help reduce fear and uncertainty in pivoting out of tight and uncomfortable situations.
