"The Importance of Effective Onboarding"

Thursday, July 7th, 2022  from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM.    

Internal Consulting Community of Practice meets on Thursday mornings at 8:30 - 10:00 AM.  The program will be centered around the importance of effective onboarding.

Given the tremendous mobility of people to new jobs, it becomes even more critically important how we onboard them. 

Come prepared to discuss your challenges and successes around onboarding employees. We will prime the conversation with these questions:

• What are your biggest challenges to onboarding new employees?
• What are your successes in onboarding your new employees?
• How in a virtual world do you balance technology, culture, and values?
• What can we do to keep our employees as it’s clear you really can’t assume the work is done when someone starts? 

In this session you will be able to:

• Define onboarding 
• Identify the levels of onboarding and implement for your organization
• Discuss best practices for changes to your organization’s onboarding process
• Identify and utilize data to inform decisions for onboarding processes and beyond to determine success
• Establish the roles and responsibilities for all levels of the organization to participate in the onboarding process
