Program Description

Choosing the right assessment is difficult.  There are so many available.  

In this upbeat, interactive program, Dr. Mimi Hull and Debbie Mitchell will answer:

  • What are some purposes of assessments?
  • What are some assessments that others are using?
  • What are the Technical Characteristics of assessments that you should consider?
    • Face Validity vs Statistical Validity
    • How Reliable is Reliable enough?
    • How Valid is Valid enough?
  • The origin and history of the four-factor models of assessment 
    • Hint: There is nothing new since the Greeks!
  • The difference between MBTI (Myers-Briggs) and DISC


    Our Presenters

    Dr. Mimi Hull is fully licensed psychologist (PY3072) who coaches and trains in the areas of leadership development, team building, D,E and I and DISC.   Dr. Mimi applies proven resources, assessments, and programs to develop individuals and teams to achieve bottom-line results.  Dr. Mimi’s doctoral minors is in psychometrics and she is certified on a large variety of assessments. She is also the author of Assessment (including Definition of Assessment Types of Assessment Individual Assessments Summary and Conclusions References)published in The Encyclopedia of Human Resource Management – Volume One.  

    Debbie J. Mitchell - is an executive, communications and career coach.  Her work focuses on helping clients increase self-awareness, drive clarity, gain enhanced focus and create sustainable change.  She has over 30 years as an executive in Fortune 250 healthcare, retail, financial services and restaurant companies. She brings built unique depth in coaching and mentoring leaders for top performance and communications effectiveness, through issues and crisis, and challenges and opportunities. Recently, Deb acquired her ACC certification from the ICF.  She also has certifications from Coach U, Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching and Retirement Options, as well as the Strengths finder, Birkman Method, and Hogan assessments.
