Learning How Empathy Can Strengthen and Uplift Your Culture

Tragedy or life altering changes occur in all of our lives at some point; death of a loved one, divorce, health-related issues and can more produce emotional distress which makes it difficult to navigate life and work. With recent events in our nation and around the world, it's more and more apparent that we never know when tragedy will hit home. Learn how creating a psychologically safe workplace with practical empathy can improve engagement and elevate performance in your organization! 

Learning objectives:

  • Strengthen self awareness and self regulation in order to appropriately respond to emotionally delicate situations. 
  • Debunk myths that have become barriers to healing. 

  • Learn ways leaders can put compassion into action to better support grieving employees within their organization. 

  • Discover how change management relates to grief management.

Speaker Bio

KAREN MILLSAP experienced a personal tragedy that ignited her desire to bring healing to the workplace. Grief is ever present in our world, so she designed practical tools that, when combined with her inspirational story and magnetic personality, fortify unity and uplift humanity. Karen's work has been featured on MSNBC, Good Morning Washington and various news outlets. She's also been featured by SHRM Magazine and is a regular contributor to the international online magazine, Richtopia.
