HI -- I want to create some quick micro learning videos. Does anyone have some suggestions for apps for recording/editing (that I can also have a novice use)? -- And captivate is not an option.

I’m on a Mac and use the screen video recording and built in microphone to make little video demos on website functions I have found no way to edit or “voiceover“ when I misspeak.

    So following.....

Same here- I have used screencast-o-matic, which is great to capture the screen, but no way to edit the video- at least not with the free version. Most definitely watching this thread for any ideas!

Thanks -- I am good with screen captures, I was looking for more along the lines of "youtube-instead of using my cell phone" -- so I get easy, quick and small bites. I have a project/audience that I think this would work well for.

What is doing the recording... a digital camera or iPhone or a DVR?  Some apps may require converters— or so I was informed.  My husband uses iMovie to edit gate camera video he downloads from the DVRs as  “evidence” for incidents.  He says another one is Openshot,  and I believe you can edit video files using QuickTime.
