"Architecting Effective Interventions: An Internal Consultant Approach"

Three internal practitioners from Universal Parks & Resorts will discuss methodology, tips, and challenges around architecting processes; these are effective interventions derived from a measured, internal consultant approach that promotes better internal organizational, team, and individual leader health.

In this session, we will discuss specifics around effective mentoring, succession planning, and action planning/taking programs, a common framework that allows for applicability across various areas, as well as facilitate an interactive session around brainstorming follow-up, measure effectiveness, and sustainment of organization interventions. This session would be useful to both internal and external Consultants, and will focus on interventions with Succession Planning, Mentoring, and Engagement Survey Action Taking.

Anisa Ali is currently a Senior Manager in Organization Development. She has been with Universal Orlando Resort for 14 years, and started with the company as an intern.

Anisa obtained her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and her Master’s of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She has spent her career in HR, and has been an Organization Development professional for 13 years.

Her organizational development role frequently involves project architecture/management, data analysis, consulting/writing on feedback surveys, succession planning, focus groups, research, analytics, employee engagement, 360 Feedback, leadership competencies and performance management.

Nikki Green is currently a Manager in Organization Development. She has been with Universal Orlando Resort for 2 years. With 15 years of professional Human Resources/Learning & Development experience, Nikki has worked for diverse, people-focused organizations in a variety of industries (hospitality, human capital/management consulting, health care).

Prior to joining the team at Universal Orlando, Nikki spent 10+ years with Hard Rock International. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. At Universal, Nikki’s organizational development role focuses on leader/team/organizational effectiveness coaching and consulting on development, performance management, mentoring, and engagement.

Velana P. Grover is currently a Manager in Organizational Development with Universal Parks & Resorts and has served in her role for 1.5 years.

As an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, Velana has over 20 years of client management / customer service experience and over 15 years in Organizational Development including Employee Engagement, Employee Retention, Employee Surveys and Assessments. Her background is in identifying organization’s opportunities to enhance employee relations through the development, facilitation, and analysis of employee attitude surveys; implementation of human capital technology solutions; and coaching at all levels of leadership. Velana has a passion for inspiring leaders and working with clients to realize their potential.

At Universal, Velana’s role focuses on managing the Team Member Satisfaction survey, from implementation, to analysis, through results presentations, and action planning. Her team also focuses on implementing and executing yearly performance evaluations for the professional population of Team Members and the 360 Feedback survey.
