"Humanity & The Smart Machine Age -- Implications for the Future of OD"
There are enormous opportunities and challenges for OD in the future Smart Machine Age. To stay relevant OD needs to excel at bringing forth and engaging the best of the human side of enterprise. For that human-based scenario to work we need agile future-ready organizations and workforce, ready to embrace a world in partnership with robotics and autonomous systems.
This is the new industrial revolution! Organizations must be technologically innovative and in this new era they must also be capable of leveraging what only humans can do to achieve a prosperous future! It’s also clear that the speed of this industrial revolution warrants transformative change approaches that can assist organizations to respond to the challenges and opportunities of this new era. We will explore, the need for a non-linear change model that focuses on the formation of co-created narratives, relational consciousness, power of mutual influence and interactive cooperation as useful. This session will use provocative questions to delve into four primary sources as the genesis for the social construction of a co-created/ meta-narrative and six possible characteristics that could support the relational influence needed for creating meaningful change.
